MyMaine: As much as we love sweater and boot weather, how do we stay warm while also looking stylish and not frumpy?

Natalya: To stay warm while looking chic, layer high-quality, essential pieces. The key is investing in timeless pieces that enhance your natural silhouette while adding a touch of sophistication. At Loom, we believe great style doesn’t mean sacrificing comfort.

What are the top items currently in your shops you recommend to update your winter look?

Laura: Sweaters and cozy cardigans, add these to any outfit to stay warm and turn your fall look into winter. At Dannah For Men, we elevate men’s style with refined apparel, exclusive brands, and standout accessories.

Natalya: Our most cherished winter staples include luxurious wool coats from Soeur and The New Society, artisanal knit sweaters from brands like Maiami and Bare, and elegant, versatile trousers from Zii Ropa that can be dressed up or down.

With the holidays coming, can you recommend a unique and thoughtful gift for the fashion-forward friend on your list?

Laura: Sometimes apparel is hard to gift with sizing and fit, but accessories feel much easier. We have a great selection of scarves, leather or knit gloves, and stylish hats to put together the perfect gift. Also barware, grooming essentials, and books catered towards the modern gentleman.

Natalya: For a truly special gift, consider a handcrafted leather accessory from Janessa Leone or a beautifully made, sustainable cashmere scarf, “The Essential Twilly”—something that whispers personal style and thoughtfulness and becomes a cherished part of their wardrobe for years to come.

How do you approach color when everything outside is gray?

Laura: Honestly, go for a color you like. Winter can feel dark, but feeling good in your favorite color and adding a lighter accessory or pop of color does the trick.

Natalya: At Loom, we turn to deep jewel tones, rich earth hues, or textured neutrals that add warmth and depth, helping elevate mood and wardrobe in even the gloomiest of seasons.

Natalya, tell us about the looks you put together for Emily:

Natalya: Emily is a talented photographer, mother, and entrepreneur—the perfect muse for Loom. We curated a selection of capsule pieces that reflect her laid-back yet polished style: comfortable, luxurious essentials she can wear on repeat. These versatile looks make her feel good every day and easily transition from busy mornings to date nights with Matt.

Laura, tell us about the look you picked for Matt.

Laura: Matt’s outfit is what he could feel comfortable in during the day and then simply add a layer to take the outfit to the next level for a romantic night out with Emily. We chose a great pair of Road To Nowhere denim, Santacana wool socks, and a beautiful cashmere sweater to start the day. For the evening, we traded in the denim for a pair of Road To Nowhere trousers (some of our favorite pants!) and added a Marine Layer jacket. Accessories included a classic Shinola watch and cold-weather accessories to match.
